During the child and adolescent psychopathology course on Monday Dr. Hugh Van Auken had a little present for the folks going to the conference. The Top 10 Berlin travel books.

Needless to say, that book has me hyped up even more. My German is shoddy at best, and this is going to be a big helper considering it actually comes with a small phrase book in the back, along with 5 different types of maps. Seriously how cool! As I flipped through it, now very anxious, to what I might see, I must confront what is going to be unmissable
by any standard. So far the running list is of the following.
- Gemäldegalerie
- Haus am Checkpoint Charlie
- Awesome historical event that is related
- Musikinstrumenten-museum
- Brandeburger Tor
- Reichstag
- Konzerthaus
- Schloss Charlottenburg
There are many others, but those are the ones that so far really stand out. Since our hotel, the Marriott in Berlin is located in Potsdamer Platz we are merely short walks from some of the most profound locations in Berlin.

The Reichstag is less than 2 km away! We are literally a stones throw from the Sony Center (actually we will most likely have a view of it from our window--seeing as it is across the street). What a view!
We psych majors are getting pumped--psyched if you will.
